This is the letter M. I wanted to try and use all gray. It looks like a blanket I have from Arazona.

OK this one was not as simple as it looked. I like the funky shap and thought it would be cool to add a bit of contrast to it

The tree stamp is the best of my work I think. I messed around with some of the filters but in the end because of the sun set I think it looks the best just how it is.

Project 5

So I did this one with an E. You can not fit 6 in right so I ended up doing it with 5 but love how it cam out.

So I'm SOOO psyched! after fighting for the past 7 weeks to get this program I got it!!! So in the next few days I am hopping to get all the work done. Tonight I am posting a few things for everyone to take a look at. Hope you like them!

From what I remember, the first project was the single dot and then the randome dots were 2. That I took care of at the start of class. This would make the 2 I am posting to night numbers 3 and 4. The grid and the reversed image.

ZoneAlarm Blocks internet access

Ok. Last week was hectic. I started a new job and am having a little difficulty with time management. This week, any time I attempted to do my work, I couldn't get on the internet. Talk about frustrating. I'm getting through these things though and soon, my work will be up. Sorry for the delay. I'm enjoying the work from people that I've seen so far. It makes look forward to when I get to do my own projects.
Jerry, I downloaded GimpShop and wow, what a difference! I can finally see a different grid and get the the projects. Thanks for the suggestion.

Putting the pieces together

Hello everyone this tyisha my blogger name is smitty, and my fotothing name is caprice. 2 days ago i figured out how to use gimp. For the last two weeks I've been recking my brain trying to figure out what and how I'm to do the assignments and finally I have figured it out and will continue to piece by piece. It has been a very frustrating two weeks but I am on it now so again hello.

We Are in Week 3

Time is flying by and we are now in Week 3... all work for this week is due by next Tuesday, June 17... That means the first 5 projects are complete with a minimum of 6 examples with variations each, posted to your fotothing account... I am also seeing who is posting here in class... not posting here is like skipping class... a minimum of 2 substantial posts per week is expected. You should also be commenting on other students work both here and on fotothing... You can see the how I am grading you from the criteria linked to the right... in case you missed it... here it is again...

Week 1

-Create fotothing.com portfolio, post fotothing screen name to class blog
-Create Project 1, The Dot and post one or two examples to the blog and invite others to your fotothing portfolio to see the others in the series...

Alright, getting the hang of it

I had a bit of difficulty converting Adobe to Gimp but I got it. It was pretty nice to do. I enjoyed it. I don't know if I used the grid correctly. To Jerry's comment, I haven't heard of GimpShop. I'll look into it. I just know of Gimp.

What variations of color or value can you try as well as a straight one?

Now make a selection using the rectangle marquee and find 6 or more different designs... Pick one or two and repeat the square 16 times in a grid....

Well, it's me again, Suzette. I am having a good time with this so far in spite of the fact that I didn't have a clue as to how to use Fotoshop, Corel, Fotothing, or Gimp when this class started. Nevertheless, I have managed to download and utilize Gimp along with Fotothing after a lot of trial and error with Fotoshop, Corel, and Gimp. I think that Gimp and I are becoming good friends.

Oh, by the way, I have been trying to locate my fellow classmates on Fotothing and have been unsuccessful in doing so, except for two of you, who assisted me in doing so by posting your user names on the blog.
